Cockatiels are sweet and sociable. The make superb companion birds and are excellent with children! However,it is best to get a younger bird that can be identified by a less prominent orange cheek patch than fully mature birds. Wink

If I had to use one word to describe them, I would defiantly use cuddly! Very Happy

I wouldn't describe my tiels as cuddly...at least not compared to my 2 conures. There are a million words to describe my tiels but I think the one that best suits is amazing!!!! Everything about them is amazing!

My green cheek is definately more cuddly. Rudy likes to come over and get head scritches but he likes it on his time. He will gracefully leave his cage and wander over to us on the couch and when he gets to us he looks at us and says RUDY! Like Rudys here now pay attention to me. Its so cute! Tiels and conures are really quite different birds in their own ways. I adore them both and am pondering what my next bird will be lol. By the way my girlfriend got me hooked on birds and now I want one of each kind lol.

Definitely! Smile That's the word I also used in my introductory post.
Right now that cuddly little thing is just walking up and down my arm pulling threads from my jumper! Razz

I know what you mean...I have 4 tiels and 2 conures and they have totally different personalities!!
If you need help figuring out what bird is right for you, talk to me (I have plenty of experience with many different species from keets to macaws)!
